Harris vs Sullivan

It is not my intention to go on at tiresome length, but your last post has opened so many doors to the winds of unreason that I can't resist running from room to room trying to settle things down. – Sam Harris

A wonderful "blogalogue" between pugnacious atheist Sam Harris and gay Catholic libertarian Andrew Sullivan on the validity of faith-based religion.

Comments and trackbacks

Here are the erudite, piercing and profoundly arousing comments and trackbacks left so far by my alert readers regarding this entry (you too can make me tumescent by leaving a comment of your own):

Blogalogue TM? That sounds like something that should come from Dora the Explorer.

I'm a blogalogue, I'm a blogalogue, I'm a blogalogue, I'm a blogalogue, ...

I read about half of it before cringing and closing the tab.

No matter how much a religious person argues with an atheist, it always comes down to the same thing.

Religious Guy: My beliefs are reasonable and rational, because they are true.
Atheist: Why are they true?
Religious Guy: Because they are true.
Atheist: ... *head explodes*

No matter how "moderate" a Christian you are, your mindset is still so fundamentally different from that of an atheist's that no conclusion can ever be reached.

I'm sure lots of other good points are raised that'd be worth reading, but I seriously can't get through it. It hurts my head.

P.S. Blogalogue is the worst word ever, ever, ever.

Blogalogue-alogue-alogue-alogue-a!

So, I told Marina to threaten your life if you don't start signing on AIM again.

She was like, "I'm not going to hurt my boyfriend just because you want to talk to him."

I was like, "you're a dirty whore, and so's your mother."

So now no one I like is talking to me, AND I'M BORED. Get the fuck online.

Also, I just realized that once every couple of entries, there's at least one comment where I'm telling you to get online more.

No, I'm not creepy at all!
